Jefferson 2012 Graduate Teresa Hatcher Inducted to the Thomas Jefferson University Chapter of Alpha Eta Society

Teresa Hatcher, a 2012 graduate of Thomas Jefferson University's School of Health Professions, Department of Radiologic Sciences and resident of Brooklawn, N.J., was inducted into Thomas Jefferson University's Chapter of the Alpha Eta Society, the national honor society for health professionals, on May 10, 2012. To be eligible for induction, student candidates must be enrolled in the last year of their academic program; have achieved a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50 in undergraduate degree programs or post-baccalaureate certificate programs or 3.80 in graduate degree or post-master's degree certificate programs; and provide a letter of support from a faculty member.

The Alpha Eta Society is a nationally recognized honor society for health professionals established in 1975 under the auspices of the Association of Schools of Allied Health Professions. The purpose of the Alpha Eta Society is to promote scholarship and fellowship and to recognize significant academic achievement, leadership and contributions to the allied health professions. At present, the Society is comprised of more than 20,000 members in 76 chapters in colleges and universities nationally. Thomas Jefferson University's chapter, established in October 1982, is the 22nd chapter to be formed in the country.
