"I would like to take this great opportunity [to attend the conference] to expand my knowledge of the vascular sonography field," said Kinkler. "I feel this is the perfect opportunity to meet other individuals who share my interest and are already working in the sonography field. Overall, it's a fantastic learning experience and a wonderful chance to network at such an early point in my career."

Kanefsky is likewise eager to attend the conference to learn more about unique vascular special topics. "Attending this conference will give me the opportunity to increase my awareness of new and upcoming advancements in the field and grow as a professional before I go out in the world to start my career in vascular ultrasound," she said.

The 2013 SVU Conference will take place from May 30 – June 1 in San Francisco, Calif. It is hosted by the SVU, the only professional organization completely dedicated to the advancement of noninvasive vascular technology used in the diagnosis of vascular disease.
